Battle of the Ballers

Tournament Activities   Teams are guaranteed 3 games. Games are played on Tuesday and Thursday starting at 4pm.

Rules:

Teams can only have 4 roster players. If both teams have a female on their roster, females must guard each other.

Teams will be responsible for their own practices.

Teams will have 3 minutes before each game to warm up

A coin flip shall determine whoch team gets first possesion.

Only during a shooting foul will a player shoot a freethrow. Player will only be awarded one freethrow. One a common floor foul, the offensive team will receive the ball.

Games are 15 minutes long with continuous running clock until the last 2 minutes. However first team to 21 wins the game. Points are counted as 1pointers and 2 pointers.

After 15 minutes if the score is tied, there will be a freethrow tie breaker.

If a team does not have 3 players to start the game, they will forfeit the game.

ON COURT PLAY:

After each successful field goal or free throw:

A player from a non-scoring team will resume the game by dribbling or passing the ball behind the arc.

If the defensive team retrieves the ball from a rebound or steal they must clear behind the arc and the opposing team must allow them to clear the ball. Once, the team with possesion of the ball clears behind the arc, the game is now active.

In the event of a jump ball situation, the defensive team shall be awarded the ball.

Each player will be given 5 personal fouls before they foul out.

Substitutions:

Substitutions occur during a dead ball, timeout, or after a freethrow.

Timeouts:

Teams will be granted two 30 second timeouts. Teams can only call timeout during a dead ball or when the ball is in their possesions. If a player calls a timeout after they have used both of theirs, they will be given a techinical foul and the oppose team will be granted a freethrow and ball.

Standings and Seeding:

Teams will be seeding based on registration order.

During playoff seeding, teams will be ranked by record. In case of a tie breaker, the team with the most points will be ranked 1st.

Disqualification:

2-Unsportsmanlike conduct/fouls will results in immediate disqualification from the game by referee(s), director or event organizer. This conduct will also result in a one game suspension.
